I think there is a direct correlation between the lower the temperature the higher my chances for whipping up something warm, minty, and chocolaty.

From vegan peppermint bark to peppermint brownies, my love for peppermint and chocolate runs deep.

This simple vegan peppermint mocha takes everything you love about a warm latte to a whole new level.

Rich dark chocolate, warm frothy oat milk, and just a hint of peppermint extract make this the perfect holiday drink.

Why We Love this Vegan Peppermint Mocha

Some of the reasons we keep making these vegan peppermint mochas on repeat include:

  • Mint + Chocolate. I deeply believe there is no better holiday flavor pairing.
  • Cheaper than Starbucks. Between the up-charge for non-dairy milk and the double shot of espresso, this homemade version is sure to save you a little dough.
  • Completely vegan. Made with vegan chocolate and non-dairy milk, this oat milk peppermint mocha is perfect for a plant-based diet.

Vegan Changes to a Peppermint Mocha Latte

For this creamy chocolate peppermint latte you will need to include two vegan ingredients.

  • Non-dairy milk– I used an unsweetened oat milk to get a rich and creamy latte. You can use your favorite non-dairy milk, I typically have oat milk on hand.
  • Dairy-free chocolate– There are two different ways you can go with this recipe. Either use a vegan chocolate chip or cocoa powder. I personally found the chocolate chips to make a richer mocha but I also understand that you might just want to use cocoa powder and thats totally fine with me.
