Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket
Quick, easy, and dairy-free pigs in a blanket are made even better with the help of the air fryer. This simple, 2-ingredient recipe for air fryer pigs in a blanket whips up a dozen crescent wrapped sausages in 5 minutes.
I have been blessed with two happy and hungry toddlers. This often means that when they wake up the first thing they ask for is breakfast.
In my current season of life I wake up when my kids wake up and not a minute before. Maybe it has to do with keeping up with the littles all day or possibly it’s the third one growing that wipes me out, but waking up before them to prepare a hearty breakfast is just not in the cards right now.
Three things I do to make sure my mornings run smoothly happen the night before. It takes roughly 5-10 minutes but makes all the difference the next day.
- Empty the sink before bed. This ensures we have a clean space to quickly wash/dry dishes as the morning progresses.
- Pick out breakfast the night before. I jot down my breakfast plan before bed so that my husband and I don’t have to think about it when our kids are begging us for food.
- Take 5 minutes or less to prep in advance anything for the morning.
Now the key to getting breakfast out fast starts with picking quick foods. If I have a dish that is going to take a while to cook, like a quiche, I usually make it the day before and just re-heat it in the morning.
For a quicker dish, like these air fryer pigs in a blanket, I like to wrap the pigs up the night before and have the first batch out of the air fryer in 5 minutes.
Why We Love Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket

- Quick to make. Between the 5 minutes of prep and 5 minute air fry time, these tasty snacks can be ready in 10 minutes or less.
- Great for meal prep. You can easily prep these the night before and air fry first thing in the morning or simply reheat them the next day.
- Kid-friendly. My three year old loves wrapping the little smokies up with the pastry dough which keeps him busy and not thinking about how hungry he is while they cook.
