Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan by spraying with non-stick spray. Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
In a large mixing bowl mash banana until smooth. Add brown sugar, egg, vanilla, oil, and non-dairy buttermilk. Whisk until smooth.
Fold the flour mixture into the banana mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50-60 minuted or until toothpick comes out clean.
