I love a fun take on pizza so when I saw different ways to make mummy pizzas on Pinterest for the spooky season I knew I would be finding out if it too can be made dairy-free.

When I began converting the recipe for a mummy pizza into a dairy-free and vegan alternative the number one obstacle I encountered was replacing the string cheese to mimic the wraps of a mummy.

The grocery stores nearby didn’t have blocks of dairy-free cheese or even slices of white dairy-free cheese so I opted to use shredded vegan mozzarella to get the white striped look of a mummy.

While they may not be a perfect replica of the dairy-filled versions, my children throughly enjoyed making and eating them and I hope you do too!

What Vegan Cheese Can You Use to Make Mummy Pizza?

Honestly I think the best way to approach making this vegan mummy pizza is to use the vegan cheese you like the most.

While the shredded plant-based cheese might not look the most authentic to mummy wraps, you want to make sure it’s one you like before using it. Some different vegan cheeses I have tried and like include:
