Dairy-Free Ingredients for Christmas Cookies

Before diving head first into this addictive list of Christmas cookies, here are a few dairy-free ingredients you might see popping up time and again in these recipes.

  • Plant-Based Butter. One of the main dairy-free ingredients you will need to make Christmas cookies is a dairy-free butter you like. I typically use Country Crock’s Plant Butter Sticks.
  • Dairy-Free Chocolate Chips. The next most common ingredient I sub in recipes for dairy-free cookies is for chocolate chips.
    • Semi Sweet- I like to use Nestle or Enjoy Life plant-based chocolate chips.
    • Dark Chocolate- For non-dairy dark chocolate chips I am partial to Ghirardelli or Enjoy Life.
    • White Chocolate- White Chocolate alternatives are a little more difficult to come by in the stores but you can always order a case of 3-6 to keep on hand at home. I have used and like King David and Enjoy Life vegan chocolate chips.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk Alternative. For quick fudge, dairy-free ice cream, and magic cookie bars, I use a Sweetened Condensed Oat Milk or Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk.
