Top 10 of 2025

Last Updated on January 3, 2026 by Annie

Take a look back at the year’s top recipes viewed and made from My Life After Dairy in 2025. With recipes ranging from snack to lunch, dinner, desserts, and drinks this year was definitely delicious and as always, dairy-free.

Taking stock at the end of the year has started to become a tradition here at My Life After Dairy and if I am being my most honest self with both myself and you I was a little nervous to look back at how this year went.

In May we welcomed our third child into the family and I had content planned through August. We found out in May that we would be moving back to Texas at the end of August and I wasn’t able to batch and prep more content to see us through the move. Instead of stressing about it I decided to let it go and get settled before coming back to My Life After Dairy.

After close to 7 months off the site, I have finally found my footing and am looking forward to bringing you many more dairy-free recipes in 2026.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Without each and every one of you who reads this site, we would not be where we are today.

  • To my family, thank you for the little hands that like to help measure, scoop, mix, and most importantly taste test the treats. Thank you also for the space, time, and understanding when I take on a ridiculously large, messy, and time intensive project.
  • The hospital staff at Piedmont and St. Lukes for eating all of the test batches so they never went to waste.
  • To you, the reader. Thank you for making the recipes and trusting the time I’ve spent making and remaking these recipes so you can make them in your own kitchen.

Post Updates in 2025

Between moving across country and having a third child, I have found it pretty difficult to keep a routine for testing, shooting, and writing new posts. That said, I was able to carve out some time to make noticeable updates to some oldies but goodies on the site.

Updated Posts from the Year

More posts that got a facelift this year include:

Top Posts of 2025

1. Dairy-Free Instant Pudding from a Mix

Three bowls of instant pudding in a triangle on the top right a blue bowl with oat milk based jell-o, in the bottom right an orange bowl with coconut milk based jell-o, and on the right side a white bowl with almond milk based pudding.

Being able to use almond milk, coconut milk, or oat milk to make instant pudding is a true life saver and for the second year in a row, this guide to using dairy-free milk in place of traditional milk for making instant pudding comes in as the number 1 post of the year.

2. Taco Lunch Bowls

These healthy taco lunch bowls continue to make the top 10 post for a number of reasons. They are delicious, easy to make, and perfect for a weekly meal prep recipe.

Endlessly customizable and deliciously dairy-free, these turkey taco lunch bowls also got a much needed set of updated photos at the end of 2025.

3. Dry Rubbed Slow Cooker Ribs

Moving up to the third place spot on the site, these deliciously juicy ribs made in the crock pot are a huge time saver.

Serve these fall off the bone ribs with stovetop rice, microwave corn, or a simple fruit salad for the perfect summer meal.

4. Healthy Almond Joy Lactation Bites

Rows of healthy almond joy lactation bites topped with drizzled vegan chocolate.

As someone who has spent close to 3 years nursing children, I know my way around the lactation boosting snacks. Made with rolled oats, almond butter, coconut and chocolate, these little lactation balls taste just like an almond joy!

If you are looking for more almond coconut flavor, be sure to check out these almond joy baked oatmeal bars.

5. Cake Batter Lactation Bites

Back to back years on the top 10 list and with good reason. These cake batter lactation bites have all the flavor of cake batter with the bonus boost of ingredients that help support your lactation needs.

Brewers yeast, old fashioned oats, and ground flax help make these filling and flavorful snacks a lactating moms dream!

6. Classic Crisco Pie Crust

A pie pan with shortening pie crust before baking.

Making a crisco pie crust dough is a must make during the holiday season in my book, and by the looks of it, your books as well! This recipe for the basic classic crisco based dough makes melt in your mouth, flaky pie crust that pairs well with both sweet and savory pies.

Some recipes I like to use this pie dough with include:

7. Snickerdoodle Cookie Bars

Snickerdoodle cookie bars on a wooden counter with some on their side.

Oh my melt in your mouth goodness. These cinnamon sugar kissed snickerdoodle cookie bars are not only the top cookie recipe on the site, they are also one of the most requested desserts I make.

Between my kids, their teachers, the neighbors, and the health care professionals that work with my husband, they just can’t get enough of them. Thankfully they use a handful of pantry staple ingredients and come together in one bowl.

8. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lactation Bites

The first lactation bite recipe posted on the site and also the last lactation bite on the top 10 list, these peanut butter chocolate chip bites are a staple in our home.

Made with just a few simple ingredients these dairy-free energy bites are loaded with lactation boosting ingredients.

9. Marry Me Ground Chicken and Orzo

A black bowl with a silver spoon scooping dairy-free marry me ground chicken and orzo in front of a small white plate of bread in the top right.

New to the site this year and hot on everyones stoves, this marry me ground chicken orzo is a weeknight workhorse.

Packed with flavor, made with ground chicken, ready in under 30 minutes, and best of all, made in one pan, you truly can’t go wrong with this dish.

10. How to Cook Rice

A top down picture of a black bowl with a silver spoon filled with cooked long grain rice.

My go-to method for cooking basic long grain rice on the stovetop time after time. This is a weekly workhorse recipe that I often meal prep at the beginning of the week and simply reheat as needed all week long.

If you have found yourself with undercooked rice, this just might be the recipe you have been needing. I love to serve this simple white rice with:
