In an effort to add higher protein foods to my breakfast routine I stumbled upon Cocojune’s line of Greek-style protein yogurt. With 8 grams of protein per serving, I am able to get about a quarter of my breakfast protein goal with one little cup.

Now, I know what you might be thinking. 7 years ago when I went dairy-free I was not impressed with the dairy-free yogurt options available. For starters they were very watery. Not to mention, they had this dusty flavor to them that I simply could not stomach.

That said, if I have learned anything in the last few years it’s that the dairy-free food industry has come a long way in making better tasting and better for you alternatives. After finding a cleaner go-to dairy-free milk, it was time to see if there might be a yogurt I might like in my breakfast line up.

Please note that these are not products sent to me or items I will earn any commissions on for the review. Simply put, this is a dairy-free product I tried, liked, and could see myself using time and again.

What We Like About Cocojune’s Greek-Style Yogurt

To say I was pleasantly surprised by this yogurt would be an understatement. I found myself craving it because it is:

  • Thick and creamy. Unlike the thin, watery yogurts I tried 7 years ago, this yogurt had bite to it, a creamy texture, and a smooth finish. My husband even did a double take when he saw the yogurt.
  • Bright flavors. Each flavor came through exactly as advertised.
  • Simple, organic ingredients. I felt good about what I was putting into my body and didn’t question anything on the ingredients label.
  • Prebiotics. Made with many well known strands of probiotics, the 5 ounce serving of yogurt not only packed in the flavor but also helped my gut.

What We Didn’t Like About Greek Style Junes

The price. At roughly 54 cents/ounce at my local grocery store it was close to 20 cents/ounce more expensive than the leading vegan greek yogurt.

That said, there were no questionable ingredients found in Cocojune and I genuinely liked how it tasted compared to the leading greek style vegan yogurt. With it also being certified organic I can understand the price difference.

How Do I Use Greek Style Cocojune?

There is not doubt in my mind that this Greek-style yogurt can be used in place of yogurt in a number of different recipes. While sampling this product, some of the ways I used the yogurt included:
