A huge thank you to Dandies Vegan Marshmallows for sharing their Vegan Marshmallows- Maple Flavored with My Life After Dairy. All opinions disclosed are mine alone.
I don’t know about you, but I am ready for all things fall. I’m talking pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls, warm cozy sweaters, and all the hot chocolate my little heart can handle. But since the heat seems to not want to relinquish its hold on the weather I think the best way to get my fall fix is with a delicious no-bake treat.
These cinnamon maple rice krispie treats pack in all of the warm cozy flavors of fall with the help of Dandies vegan maple marshmallows and a light sprinkle of cinnamon. They are everything you love about a traditional rice krispie treat- crispy and gooey- with the added essence of fall.

How to Make Cinnamon Maple Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Plant-based Butter– I typically use Country Crock’s Plant based butter baking sticks to keep my treats deliciously dairy-free.
- Maple Marshmallows + Additional Marshmallows– For all the gooey goodness you have come to expect from a rice krispie treat.
- Rice Krispie Cereal- For the iconic crunch that balances out all of the gooey goodness.
- Maple Syrup– For an added boost of maple flavor.
- Vanilla– Flavor, flavor, flavor y’all.
- Cinnamon– For a warm, spicy finish.
Step-By-Step Directions
- Melt vegan butter: In a large pot over medium heat, melt plant-based butter.
- Add cinnamon and maple marshmallows: Once melted, stir in cinnamon and maple marshmallows. Stir and heat until marshmallows are melted.
- Stir in the flavor: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and maple syrup.
- Add cereal and marshmallows: Next, fold in rice krispie cereal and an additional cup of either maple marshmallows or vanilla marshmallows.
- Shape in baking pan: Pour the mixture into an 8X8-inch baking dish and cool completely before slicing and serving.
Helpful Kitchen Tools
Some of the tools I find helpful while making these rice krispie treats include:
- 8X8-inch Baking Dish-I love the sharp edges this pan gives all my baked goods.
- Rubber Spatula– For keeping the gooey marshmallow in the pot instead of sticking to your stirring utensil.
Storing Suggestions
Once your cinnamon maple rice krispie treats cool completely there are a few ways to store them for maximum freshness. While they are at their peak freshness for up to two days you can probably get away with storing them up to 5 days.
- Air-tight storage container– Slice and store in an air-tight glass or plastic Tupperware container.
- Gallon zip-lock bag– Pop these treats into a large gallon ziplock bag that you can easily grab and go from.
- Individual ziplock bags– Store the treats individually so you can easily pop them into lunches throughout the week.
Dairy-Free and Vegan Changes to Cinnamon Maple Rice Krispie Treats
There are a few swaps you will want to make when you are whipping up these treats.
- Plant-based butter– I used Country Crock Plant Butter to keep these chewy treats dairy-free.
- Dandies Marshmallows– They are the perfect vegan marshmallow for swapping into rice krispie treats.
- Rice Krispie Cereal– The Kellogg’s brand Rice Krispie cereal is not a vegan ingredient. In order to keep these treats vegan you will want to swap them out for a vegan cereal such as Nature’s Path Crispy Rice Cereal.
