Best Vegan Coffee Creamers

Last Updated on January 30, 2026 by Annie

If you love a morning cup of coffee and are looking for the best vegan coffee creamers, we’ve got you covered. I’m dishing out some of the best dairy-free coffee creamers and sharing what I like and don’t like about them. Read on to find your next favorite vegan creamer for coffee!

Three bottles of vegan coffee creamer on a white counter with a coffee bean out front.

When I first went dairy-free, one of the first things I gave up was coffee creamer. At the time the non-dairy and vegan alternatives were limited and it just felt easier to switch to black coffee.

After our second child was born I found black coffee to be much too bitter to take (anyone else have strange palette changes after birth?) and I quickly topped my cups off with non-dairy milk.

When my mom came to visit she asked me to grab some dairy-free coffee creamer and I was shocked to find the selection of dairy-free coffee creamers had greatly expanded over the years.

In this post I will break down some of the most common dairy-free coffee creamers to give you an idea about what vegan coffee creamer might be the right fit for you in your life after dairy.

This is not an exhaustive or comprehensive list, simply some of the most common dairy-free creamers on the market. I will be sure to update the list as more creamers enter our local market.

Silk Almond Milk Coffee Creamer

A bottle of Silk coffee creamer being poured into a cup of coffee on a white counter.

Silk brand has been at the forefront of the dairy-free movement, founded in 1977 the company has been paving the way for dairy-free milk, yogurt, and creamers.

As of 2024, the company produces a variety of coffee creamers with an almond milk, oat milk, and soy milk base. They also sell a dairy-free heavy whipping cream alternative as well as half-and-half.

Their line of almond milk based coffee creamers come in a variety of flavors including:

  • Mocha
  • Vanilla
  • Sweet and Creamy
  • Caramel
  • Creme Brulee
  • Hazelnut
  • and a seasonal Pumpkin Spice

For this review I focused on the Sweet and Creamy flavor. The Sweet and Creamy almond creamer is free from:

  • Dairy
  • Gluten
  • Carrageenan
  • Cholesterol
  • Artificial colors
  • Artificial flavors
  • GMO

What we Like about Silk Almond Creamer

This sweet and creamy almond creamer makes a great kitchen staple creamer for a number of reasons:

  • Flavorful without overpowering the coffee it’s added to.
  • Long shelf-life. The 1 qt bottle will keep for up to 2 weeks after opening (but I definitely stretched well past the 2 weeks with no consequences).
  • Not too sweet. Some of the other sweet and creamy flavors of creamer on the market were too sweet for our taste but the Silk brand’s didn’t come across that sweet.
  • Smooth mixture. The almond milk did not separate from hot coffee and was a smooth addition to the coffee.

What we didn’t like about Silk Almond Creamer

There wasn’t much I didn’t like about Silk Almond Creamer and I could see myself buying it again. Some of the drawbacks (and honestly I’m just being nit-picky here) include:

  • Large bottle. With 63 servings, I found it difficult to finish the bottle in the 2 week recommended time frame.
  • Longer list of ingredients. With about 10 ingredients it is one of the more processed creamers on the list.

Nut Pods

A carton of Nut Pods vegan coffee creamer on a white counter.

The Nut Pods brand offers a variety of products for the coffee connoisseur. With creamers, creamy cold brews, and barista oat milks there is sure to be something you might enjoy.

Their extensive line of creamers includes:

  • Original
  • French Vanilla
  • Caramel
  • Coffee Cake
  • Coconut Macaroon
  • Toasted Marshmallow
  • Cinnamon Swirl
  • Classic Chocolate
  • Holiday Nog (Seasonal)
  • Peppermint Mocha (Seasonal)
  • Pumpkin Spice (Seasonal)

While testing out this coffee creamer, my morning cups of coffee were splashed with a light and flavorful serving of the Nut Pods Original Almond + Coconut Creamer. This product is:

  • Dairy-Free
  • Kosher
  • Keto Friendly
  • Certified Vegan
  • Gluten-Free
  • Non-GMO Project Certified
  • Carrageenan and Soy free
  • Paleo-Friendly
  • Certified Glyphosate-Residue Free by the Detox Project
  • 0 Weight Watchers SmartPoints per serving

What we like about Nut Pods Almond + Coconut Creamer

I think if my husband were in charge of the grocery shopping this would be the coffee creamer he would buy time and time again. We liked that it was:

  • Not too sweet. Just a splash of this coffee creamer cut the acidity of the coffee with a hint of sweetness.
  • Smaller packaging. It fit well in the refrigerator and we didn’t have a hard time finishing it before the best by date.
  • 10 Calories per serving made it one of the lowest calorie additions on the list.

What we didn’t like about Nut Pods Almond + Coconut Creamer

Honestly there wasn’t much we didn’t like about this creamer. Some things you might want to keep in mind when you try it include:

  • Separated from hot coffee. I found I had to re-stir my cup time and time again to keep the mixture smooth throughout.
  • 7-10 day shelf life. Once opened, the creamer needs to be used within 7-10 days but the smaller packaging makes it easier to accomplish this goal.
  • Pricier. At roughly $6 for 22 servings, the nut pods creamer was the most expensive option we tried.

Califia Farms: Vanilla Oat Creamer

A coffee cup in front of a blue bottle of oat milk coffee creamer.

Califia Farms has a number of plant-based coffee creamers out on the market. They make an almond milk based creamer as well as an oat milk based creamer in flavors such as:

  • Hazelnut
  • Cookie Butter
  • Cinnamon Roll
  • French Vanilla
  • Caramel Macchiato

For this review, I enjoyed the Vanilla Oat Milk Creamer. This simple creamer is:

  • Vegan
  • Gluten-Free
  • Kosher
  • Soy-Free
  • BPA Free
  • Carrageenan Free
  • 2 grams of sugar per serving
  • 20 calories per serving

What we like about Califia Farms Vanilla Oat Creamer

This simple vanilla oat coffee creamer received high marks in our home for a number of reasons:

  • Blends very nicely. I don’t feel like it separates from the coffee and doesn’t need additional stirring.
  • Not too sweet. This coffee creamer doesn’t add too much in the way of sweetness so if you don’t like a sweet creamer this one is nice.
  • Reasonable amount. The size of the bottle of creamer didn’t feel like a challenge to finish. It felt like a good 10 days of coffee worth of creamer.

What we didn’t like about Califia Farms Vanilla Oat Creamer

All in all this coffee creamer might just become a staple in my household, here are a few of the things you might want to keep in mind if you want to make it a staple in yours.

  • 7-10 day shelf-life after opening (but I’m going to be honest and let you know I kept it close to 3 weeks and didn’t see any mold or have adverse side effects…but I am not a medical professional nor the FDA and so I am sure there is a reason for the 7-10 day suggestion…
  • Oil on the top. While it blends beautifully with the coffee, it looks like there are little beads of oil at the top of the cup after shaking and mixing with the coffee.

What we like about Oatly Sweet and Creamy Coffee Creamer

This simple oat coffee creamer received high marks in our home for a number of reasons:

  • Easy to mix with coffee. It didn’t settle or separate from the coffee.
  • Not overly sweet which didn’t take away from the flavor of the coffee.
  • Smooth texture. A little in conjunction with easy to mix, it was just a smooth overall addition to cup of coffee.
  • Longer Shelf-Life. The creamer now lasts up to 15 days after opening making it a bit more manageable to consume the 63 servings before the best by time.

What we didn’t like about Oatly Sweet and Creamy Coffee Creamer

Here are a few of the things you might want to keep in mind if you want to make it a staple in yours.

  • 30 calories per serving made it one of the highest calorie count per Tablespoon of the group.
  • Long list of ingredients. With roughly 10 ingredients (some ingredients being made from multiple other ingredients) it is one of the creamers with the highest amount of ingredients.

Planet Oat Coffee Creamer

A large bottle of dairy-free, planet oat coffee creamer on a white counter with a blue and white dish towel to the right.

  • Dairy-Free
  • Peanut-Free
  • Gluten-Free
  • Soy-Free
  • Non-GMO

What we like about Planet Oat French Vanilla Creamer

This simple oat coffee creamer received high marks in our home for a number of reasons:

  • Smooth and easy to mix into the coffee.
  • 14 day shelf-life once opened, making it the longest creamer we can keep opened in the fridge.

What we didn’t like about Planet Oat French Vanilla Creamer

Here are a few of the things you might want to keep in mind if you want to make it a staple in yours.

  • I felt like I needed more than a tablespoon to really get a good change from the coffee to the coffee with cream.
  • Large bottle. The 32 oz bottle contains roughly 64 servings. While it can be open for two weeks, I still struggled to finish the bottle before the suggested time.

So Delicious Coffee Creamer

When I first published this post in 2024, I don’t know how I had not come across So Delicious Dairy-Free Coconutmilk Creamer. In my first few weeks in Texas I began spotting this creamer everywhere.

Before getting too deep into this review, the recipe for So Delicious Coconut Creamer has changed. I did not try/taste the previous version but many reviews of this product mention the change in recipe.

As of December 2025, this is the only flavor of creamer So Delicious makes. This coconut milk creamer is:

  • USDA Organic
  • Vegan
  • Non GMO
  • Gluten-Free
  • Carrageenan-Free
  • Lactose-Free
  • No Artificial Flavors

What We Like about So Delicious French Vanilla

There are a handful of things about this creamer that we like including:

  • Smooth texture and blends well with hot coffee. This creamer mixes well into a hot cup of coffee and has a smooth texture.
  • Strong flavor. The taste of vanilla comes through very well in the coffee so I don’t feel I need to use much more than the serving size.
  • Less than 10 ingredients. The ingredient list is rather short and made with commonly found dairy-free ingredients.
  • 14 day shelf life. I feel like it’s a reasonable shelf life for the amount of creamer that comes in the carton.

What We Didn’t Like about So Delicious French Vanilla Creamer

When it comes time to refill the slot in my refrigerator I might not pick up this creamer again because its:

  • Too sweet. I have to stick to a pretty conservative pour of this creamer or the coffee is too sweet to my liking.

Coffee Mate Natural Bliss Oat Creamer

The front of a bottle of Natural Bliss Oat Creamer.

Coffee Mate created the world’s first non-dairy creamer in 1961. The powder based coffee creamers quickly gained popularity and expanded their line to include liquid coffee creamers.

In 2011 the company introduced the Natural Bliss line of coffee creamers focusing on simple ingredients and later in 2017 expanded the line to include plant-based options.

The Natural Bliss line is not all plant based, just a few varieties. They offer almond, oat, and coconut milk based creamers with flavors such as:

  • Brown Sugar
  • Vanilla
  • Sweet Creme

For this review I picked up a bottle of the Oat Milk Brown Sugar. This oat milk based creamer is:

  • Gluten free
  • Free of artificial colors and flavors
  • Carrageenan free
  • Lactose free
  • Cholesterol free
  • Vegan
  • Fully recyclable

What We Liked About Natural Bliss Oat Milk Creamer

This brown sugar oat milk creamer makes a great kitchen staple creamer for a number of reasons:

  • Flavorful without overpowering the coffee it’s added to.
  • Long shelf-life. The 1 qt bottle will keep for up to 2 weeks after opening (but I definitely stretched well past the 2 weeks with no consequences).
  • Not too sweet. It lightened up the coffee without taking away from the flavor of the coffee.
  • Smooth mixture. The oat milk based creamer did not separate from hot coffee and was a smooth addition to the coffee.

What We Didn’t Like About Natural Bliss Oat Milk Creamer

Honestly there wasn’t much that I didn’t enjoy about this vegan coffee creamer. My only complaint was about the bottle.

  • Twist top lid was messy. Some of the creamer got caught in the grooves of the bottle when I poured and over time it gunked up.

However, when I bought the creamer a few weeks later it had a pour top lid which worked beautifully and didn’t gunk up. I don’t know if they are switching all of the bottles to the pour top lid or if the screw top is more commonly used but that was my only complaint.
