Tips for Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs
After making these hard boiled eggs weekly I’ve picked up a few tips for making easy to peel, hard boiled eggs in the air fryer.
- Use fresh eggs, they yield the freshest hard boiled egg.
- Lift eggs out of the air fryer with a plastic slotted spoon (Amazon affiliate link). This prevents scratching the air fryer, cracking the eggs, and burning your fingers.
- Crack the eggs throughly before removing the shell.
- Run the hard boiled eggs under cold water while you are peeling to help the shell slide off.
Why do my eggs have brown speckles on them?
When you air fry eggs, they might get specks on them. This is completely normal and comes from residue left in the air fryer from previous usages.
The brown speckles typically wash off with the ice bath if your intention is to use these hard boiled eggs for dyed Easter eggs.
